Maranta Red, Prayer Plant, gets its name rise and fall of the leaves throughout the day.
LIGHT: Low light tolerant, but best in medium to bright indirect light. Direct light will burn the tender leaves.
WATER: Marantas like evenly moist soil, but not soggy. Do not let soil dry out. This plant needs humidity, so place in a bathroom or create a microclimate by placing the pot on a bed of pebbles in a saucer. Fill the saucer with water to create a micro climate to keep your plant’s leaves green and happy.
FERTILIZER: Acid loving plants, fertilize every two weeks in Spring and Summer with a diluted water soluble fertilizer.
